The Born Again experience or Christian New Birth can clearly be seen as one reads through the Book of Acts and witnesses faith in action. The Gospel is preached and obeyed, resulting in believers being Born again of water (baptism) and of spirit (Holy Ghost). This Born Again experience is the faith once delivered, the church that Jesus built, how His Blood is applied to our life and how we are saved from sin. God's Plan of Redemption - the Gospel.
Theological history is biased at best, but the Word of God is true and forever settled in heaven. Thank God for the Bible, that contains examples of how believers were Born Again of water and spirit. Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:15-16). Thank God we still have the freedom to preach "the Gospel".
Isaiah 55:10-11 (NLT) - The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
